BUSINESS PROCESS REENGINEERING APPROACH
Value Chain Transformation (VCT)

There's nothing mystical about Business Process Reengineering. The first phase is always to clearly define the process space you want to address and your objectives for doing so. Then you build and document a Project Charter with the team to ensure you're all in alignment and work diligently to thoroughly understand everything that's going on with the As-Is process space.
- What happens in detail & who does it
- What tools enable each step
- What issues arise and where they occur in the process
- Process dependencies on other processes or people
The AIT view is you can only be successful designing the future if you clearly understand the present. It's foolish to think you can start with a blank sheet of paper without recreating the mistakes of the past. Our goal is to work together with your team to learn as much from the past as possible before we endeavor into changes for the future.
The Value Chain Transformation (VCT) Approach purposely breaks a Business Process Reengineering project into four phases, forcing the stakeholder involvement, communication and reviews necessary to obtain the best possible solution for the business:

Our goal with every project is to have complete buy-in from all stakeholders before the proposed solution is presented to the Steering Team at the end of Phase 2. AIT makes sure your Business Process Reengineering team does both the analytical work to determine the best technical solution and communicates to a level necessary to mobilize the organization for rapid implementation. Phase 2 definition of success is to have the Steering Team ask, "How quickly can you implement?!"
The Phase 3 - Implementation Planning work of the Business Process Reengineering team frequently enables our customers to complete the final phase of work (Implementation) without any further AIT support.
The structure of VCT is born of necessity. Complexity demands structure and organization to allow a team of people to be efficient and effective. It's that simple. We've all seen complex projects go nowhere because this fundamental truth was ignored. So when you're up against you next really tough challenge, give us a call. We'll put VCT to work for you!
