CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM DESIGN

AIT takes a comprehensive approach to the design of a Continuous Improvement program. After all, it's typically not just about saving money but changing the culture of the organization to approach business challenges and problem solving in a different way.
We generally start the design of a new program with a leadership team in a working session, developing a program deployment "plan." We look at critical aspects of the program, such as program goals, scope, training and support elements, curriculum customization, timeline and financial justification. This Program Design phase is usually quick but critical to establishing the blueprint moving forward.
The next phase - Program Preparation - sets up the program infrastructure needed to manage ongoing efforts, identifies the initial project challenges and selects the people who will be developed as the change agents to convert business challenges into benefits for the company.

Then the real fun begins.... Depending on the approach, training and project work are initiated. In the Program Execution phase, we wholeheartedly recognize good projects and good people only produce benefits if those projects get successfully completed. So our goal is to ensure we work projects side-by-side with your people and hold them accountable to the disciplines required to achieve project success. We refer to the approach as "Train/Apply/Review." We don't do training without application work, and we need review of this work to establish accountability and create additional learning opportunities that can only be derived from application experience.
As the program begins to mature in the final phase - Program Maturation - AIT is effectively transitioning responsibility for knowledge management, skills development and program coordination to you so your company can fully reap the benefits of a self-sustaining internal Continuous Improvement program.
